hi all, ive used the film machine for a cpl of years trouble free encoding.

but i have recently experienced a problem.

The Film machine starts transcoding the audio, and complete's then quenc starts to encode video, after about 10 mins the program just shuts down.

ive re installed numerous times, ive even made sure after a uninstall that the registry files are removed with reg edit.

so after lots of headbanging i downloaded avi2dvd, and tried that, and whould you believe it it does the same.

oh and i have tried converting 3 different avi's, all with the same result.

any ideas guys, the problem must be with my pc but what

    If this file still exists

    C:\Program Files\Incoming\Avi2dvd_temp\Avisynth_Script_File.a vs

Try opening it in virtualdub to see if a) it opens and plays, and b) what error message it produces if it does not.

It is a text file that contains the avisynth script that is the filmmachine uses. Open it in virtualdub and either your video will open, or you will get an error message. Either way it will help narrow down the search for an answer.
