    Hello everyone.
I'm hoping that someone might now what is wrong and how I might fix it.

Last week I was watching an episode of DL.TV and learned about monoprice.com. I saw a DVI/HDMI cable for a reasonable price and jumped on the chance. I got it today and hooked my PC up to my TV. Now, the wallpaper looks fantastic, however it's nearly impossible to read any of the text on the TV. I've tried watching some videos using Nero and WMP and the video will play on my PC monitor but only a black screen appears on the TV. My TV is a 36" Phillips CRT HDTV with an HDMI input and it shows that it is receiving a 1080i signal from my PC but why am I getting no video and is there someway to get everything else to look crisp? Any help would be wonderful.

The output from your pc will be at the resolution your desktop is set. What is your desktop resolution?

The black screen during video playback, could be caused by the video overlay settings. You can find video overlay in the advanced settings.
