Well my JWL cfs kit is finally failing. So I think I just want to get some refillable carts without the whole tube attachments. So what cartirdges should I be looking to get and from where?

Oops I originally clicked on the r200, 300 CIS. I just found the Refillable Smart Cartridges. Is that what you were trying to refer me to before?

Also, I have about 90ml of each color (dye) from my JWL kit (just bought refill kit, and the cfs started giving me problems) so If I were to use whats left from my JWL, and then when empty, is there anyway to clean these carts so I can then use ink that is not from JWL? Or should I still just get the ink from JWL since it's only $50 for 600ml?

The CIS I have enjoyed, but the refill process can be a pain. Plus sometimes I have had issues with the tubes. I just feel the cart's are an easier way. Yes you will fill them up more but, you don't need to worry about the tubes getting air in them or getting kinked in the printer...

Another Great Thread is here on the CIS we have:

I've had my JWL cfs for 2yrs and have loved it, but recently it's been giving me problems. Last week, I refilled all my tanks, and 2 days later my magenta was totally gone, hose was even full of air? Ink didn't leak out of printer, must have been absorbed by the pad, but I did lose over 60ml of my magenta. If I had, had refillable carts, I wouldn't have lost that much, it just sucked it right out of the resevior. Plus it's been clogging alot so I have had to do several cleanings (used the ink bottle mod) wasting way to much ink....

So will these carts let me know when I'd need to refill them, and how much to put in?
