Hey, i got all the codecs to work in vdub now, and went to encode an asf to avi, Configured it as vcdhelp.com suggests and went to save avi, and the progress that i got was most disturbing. i took a screen grab of it and uploaded it to my site. Heres the address.
http://home.iprimus.com.au/levering/vdub.gif
It shows that after half an hour, it managed to encode NOTHING. Is this right? seems a bit wierd to me. any thoughts.
thanks

That's rather odd, sometimes (but very rarely) Vdub will get 'stuck' for me, I'm not exactly sure what your problem could be but you can try http://www.digital-digest.com for help with DiVX/AVI, "Nicky's pages" has all the guides.
