Just bought a new Upconvert DVD player (at about $100) made by LG model DN191H. Have it hooked up to the TV via HDMI-to-DVI cable. Slight problem; any parts in the video that are black or dark are heavily pixelated. Everything else looks great, a great-deal better than when hooked up through the Component inputs. Is there anything that I can do to lessen or get rid of this pixelation problem? I've read around a bit and find that it might just be the quality of the DVD-player's upconversion process, even so is there anything I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should only be upconverting to your TV's native resolution. You should also experiment with the various output resolutions (480p/720p/1080i) and see which has the best appearance on your TV.
