I am using a combined video/dvd recorder with a usb s.video/audio connector device, capturing reasonably successfully to pc for editing or copying, however the image that I capture is a little off centre, and it doesnt matter if I capture using Pinncle Studio, Pinnacle Avid Liquid or Ulead Video Studio 7, the picture is a little off centre, which doesn't matter if just picture, but if text or fixed image, the right hand edge is apppearing out of screen. The quality is great and duplication is fine, just the layout. I have tried every setting and option within capture for all these programs but still can't fix it!! pls help anyone!
    Thanks, Cheesypuffs.

Are you capturing/recording PAL video or NTSC video? What resolution and frame rate are you using for your settings?

Last but not least some capture cards can only properly do NTSC or PAL but not both although most will do both without issues.

Also please note that NTSC VHS on a European VHS VCR is a very special case and most likely will not work even if you have the capture device properly set up for NTSC as a European VHS VCR will output a NTSC VHS as PAL-60 which is neither true NTSC nor true PAL but some psydo PAL that most capture/recording devices are incapable of recording.

It would also be a good idea to share with us what capture card/device you are using i.e., the model/make. Someone with experience in using the same card/device could then chime in.
