I burned an RW disk on my Samsung DVD R-120 in VR mode. The disk can no longer be read on the machine (even though I had started and stopped 30 chapters across a few days before the problem). It was not finalized because I was continuing to add to it. Is there any way to recover the videos that were recorded? The media was 4X and I hadn't earlier checked the manual for compatibility and the manual only lists 2X.

The disk is not playable on any other devices and cannot be read in a PC. I was hoping I could copy the entire disk to a 2X RW so that I could continue to record on it, but I haven't found a program that will do anything with the disk because, in it's unfinalized state, it's not recognized as a valid disk in my PC.

I just tried isobuster and it found some video files, but it picked up .vobs. A finalized disk only has two files, an .ifo and the video .vro file. I cannot find any way to do anything with the files isobuster found. Dragging and dropping requires the paid version. I couldn't find anything that would save the disk info to an iso format.

It's a shame that they don't provide a time-limited functionality. If it really could extract the files successfully, I'd be happy to buy it. Without that, there's no way to tell if it will work.
