  1. Ok baldrick I have followed your giudes on DVD-DVD-R and all seems to work fine apart from when I am going to burn and authour my disk after rencoding my films so they will fit on a blank DVD-R none of the programs I use will enocode the files back to a vob format. Mydvd and DVDit are useless far as I am conserned , I am unable to create a menu in either MyDVD or DVDit so I am just left with Ulead DVD factory in whitch you ned a mpeg 2 format file. I have tried to mux the files together using TMPGEcn V2.5 but no luck . Do you have any thoughts on the matter.

  3. Give me a little bit more information about the problems your having with DVDit. I used those same instructions and have not had a problem yet.

The only thing I had a problem with is that DVDit will not accept 5.1 endoded AC3 files. if the disk only has 6 channel sound then you have to convert to .wav.

Don't forget to go into the audio options and set Dolby Digital Stereo. The default setting will be PCM which takes alot more space.

  4. Maxim1 aka Dazzle3 I do apologise Baldrick .

Captain, I am trying to use MyDVD and DVDit but having no luck first of all when trying to create menus in MyDVD, as you place a back ground in the menu section it will automatically add another menu. I try and delete this empty menu from the project but it wont allow me to , no error messages or anything of that nature. The program just does not let me do a simple delete .

When I try to create a DVD folder for burning a error message appears you can not create a DVD you have a blank menu in your project.

I also tried to use the second menu but later on found out that MyDVD only supports 1 menu at a time , so I up graded to DVDit but also found out that it will not support widesrceen format is this a scam by sonic to spend money on a version that actual does the job you want .

I followed the guide and converted the ac3 file to wave it looks like i just have problem with creating menus with Sonic software. to get round this I am using Ulead DVD factory which really does not create a true menu .

  5. I think your problems stem from the fact that you Don't have the newest version of DVDit. I am using DVDit PE v2.5 which does do 16:9. I have made many menus using this program including importing my own backgrounds and buttons. The newer version does create an extra menu whenever you create one but I have never see a message about an empty menu.
