    i have a DVD format mpg and im tryng to remove the AC3 audio from the mpg. how do i do that? what program do i need?

    You need mpeg editing sofware, or you need to demux your mpeg file, and open the results in an editing application.

    Batchdemux from dvdauthorgui's site should handle ac3 .
