What do you mean by visible? don't you see the files in cuteftp after uploading? Your website maybe doesn't allow video files. You can then compress it with zip and upload.

Have you added the website info ... address , user name , password ?

You need to log into the account using cute ftp before the transfer can begin or nothing happens .

As baldrick mentioned some site's have restriction's ... file type , and size ... in this situation you can use zipgenious , to pack it up in a multi part zip prior to uploading it to the site .

As a bonus zipgenious also comes with an ftpgenious for xp .

    Or Filezilla ... handy tool's .

    ----------------

Once the file is uploaded , you need to edit the page that contain's the link to the file , otherwise nothing happens ...

so you are uploading your file to your ftp site? for example:

    ftp://mysite.com/myvideo.avi

    and when you go to

    http://www.mysite.com/myvideo.avi

    the file does not play?

It seems to me that the browser has to have the capability to play avi files natively... I just uploaded a small avi file to my ftp and when I went to the link in Firefox I was prompted to download and either save to disk or open with... IE gave me the same - Open or Save.

When I want to do what you are doing (play a file within the browser) I convert to Flash.

Otherwise, I do not know why you do not get the window for opening/saving. I would zip it and try to ftp it again.
