SVCD MPEG-to-DVD MPEG

What tools can I use on the mac to take a SVCD mpeg file and convert it to a DVD Studio Pro-ready MPEG? I'm trying to use Cleaner but it seems to be choking.

Any help would be appreciated.

you could try to convert the SVCD compliant MPG2 to quicktime with http://homepage.mac.com/linux/ (use a high-quality codec) and then convert back the quicktime to DVD compliant MPG2 by using the Apple MPG2 encoder which comes with DVDSP (needs a G4). If you don't have a G4 then try Astarte M-Pack. Be prepared for a long wait so try first with a 5-seconds clip.
