Now i have lost season 2 on my pc as avi files and its about 4.5 gb.. so i cant put them all into one dvd as vob files right??? so if burn it as a data cd would it be playable on my dvd player or is it even usefull to do that...???

They will probably not fit in dvd-video format. You can squeese up to 6 hours/dvd with lower video quality.
If you have a dvd divx player you can play avi(divx,Xvid) directly from cds and dvds. -
...but then - If you have Lost Season 2 as AVI, surely you have the original DVDs? If not - Read the forum rules again.

Ah, of course! Sorry, I overlooked that possibility, yes, since I always capture to mpg...

My standalone DVD player can play MPGs but not AVIs. Try converting them. Better off burning at lower video quality as baldrick suggested.
