I'm wondering if there is a program that can batch encode audio from avis w/ vbr audio. Like you can do w/ vdub but I want to do several files at the same time. I'm trying to convert to dvd mpg w/ tmpgenc plus but the vbr audio seems to bloat the file size. If there is someway to make tmpegenc act right w/ out saving the audio as a wav that would work as well. Anyway I appreciate any answers I receive thanks

Don't convert the audio at all with tmpgenc. Use batch ffmpeggui and batch all avis to mp2 or ac3. Then when you author the dvd add the video and audio file.

Super ... apparently it has codecs built into it , so no need to install more ... just disable video output .

Besweet (Gui) can convert audio directly from AVIs.
In batch mode you cn just drop the files into it
Works well for MP2, less so for AC3.
Remember to set the sample rate to 48000.
Bitrate: 128 k is about the minimum, lower won't save much space compared to the video files.
