Sony RDR-GX7 will not switch on!!

Hello. I have had my RDR-gx-7 for about 3 years now. The other day I went to switch it on from standby and it will not switch on at all. It still has the little red standby light on in the power switch but when I press power or any other buttons it will not switch on. I have opened it and checked the fuse which is ok.

ANy ideas on what it may be or how and where to get it fixed ( Los Angeles area). I hope it won't be one of those $150 fix jobs!!
