    Hey I've done a lot of searching on the web, but when I install ffmpegx it can't locate the mpeg2enc. I have tried downloading and saving the file to my desktop and locating it, but it still fails.

    Any other suggestions?

    By the way I have an Generation 2 Macbook Pro

    I had the same problem.

    Did you try -

    go to http://homepage.mac.com/major4/download.html
    right click on the "mpeg2enc binary" and save to desktop.
    remove the .txt extension
    open ffmpegx and link to file
