    My souce video would only be a xbox 360 games. on the back of these games it says :
    480p 720p 1080i

    assuming all xbox 360 games will be in 720p AND 1080i.

    Should i look for a TV with a native resolution of 1080 or 720 for best picture quality?

    At first i would think 1080i would be best cause the resolution is higher. But is that all there is to it?
    does the 60fps of 720p gonna give a better image.

    Xbox360 games are authored up to 720p. Normal HD connection is analog component YPbPr which can be set to 720p (native progressive) or 1080i (interpolated and interlaced) for those HDTV sets that don't accept 720p. 720p would be the better connection.

    You can also get an Xbox VGA adapter that will work with a VGA computer monitor or VGA port on an HDTV for a closer pixel to pixel match. The XBox can be set to the following resolutions for VGA:

    * 640 x 480
    * 848 x 480
    * 1024 x 768
    * 1280 x 720 (equivalent to 720p)
    * 1280 x 768
    * 1280 x 1024
    * 1360 x 768 (typical resolution for wide screen LCD -TV)

    If your only source is the Xbox, a good solution is a 19-21" VGA LCD computer monitor with 1280x1024 resolution for 4:3 display or a wide ~16x9 monitor 1360x768. These are available for around $175-299. Look for one with a fast response 8msec or better 2msec.
