    Is it possible to use a LCD computer monitor with VGA (or DVI) and audio inputs to view TV (no computer involved). I don't need a tuner since the signal comes from my satalite box. Is there some sort of converter cable to go from composite, s-video, or RF-COAX to the monitors VGA?

    Google "vga converter" (with the quotes)

    e.g.,

    http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/video-to-vga.html
    http://www.svideo.com/video2vga.html

    But don't expect the appearance to be as good as on a monitor designed for video (non-computer) signals since PCs use a different "gamma" setting.
