I'm thinking about subscribing to Vongo, but I want to watch the movies in my living room.

Is there any way to record these movies to DVD-RW?

Do I have any other options, other than buying a second PC for use in the living room?

  2. I just signed up and that is what I want to do also. I have an HP lap top with a s video out and a audio video out connector. Acording to Vongo Help you can use these connections to watch on the TV

    I will find out tonight

I just seen an advertisement for this service last night. On the face of it, except for terms of service, Vongo appears to be the same in terms of ownership of the download as Movielink, and/or other, similar services.
I posted a question about possible conversion of Movielink downloads last year, and was told that there was no legal way to do so. (By inference, I believe that there isn't a way to do it even illegally, because of the way the movies are delivered. I may be wrong, but because of the rules of this board, one will never know.)

Just buy the DVD if you want them on dvdrw...but if you have bought the movie and not just "renting" it you can checkout FairUse4WM as they are probably using DRM WMVs video.

I agree that if you want all the extras buying the DVD is probably best. Of course when making "backups" you can set Anydvd to eliminate THEM.
Question though, would fairuse work on AOL Video, like in2tv?
