  1. Well i did get Virtualdub to cap video and all, but when i play back the cap, there is no audio. When i am capping, I can hear the audio just fine, using my line in , checked the recording settings, alls good and nothing is muted and volume is up. I can use MultiMedia Center program and video in that came with my card, and that works just fine! Is this problem maybe related to the Wrapper i have to use? Also, my soundcard is on the mother board, not on a dedicated pci slot. Don't know if that would make a difference. I'm thinking its in the wrapper program. Any help here??? I'v tried everything!!! Help please!!
Using a Duron 700, windows ME. I have the Rage Fury Pro 32 MB card, not the AIW

I had the same problem. It was the on board sound card. Would not record from the line in at all. I tried mic and the sound was way to distorted. I went and got a new sound blaster audigy and that solved the problem.

  3. try opening the sound applet (double click the speaker icon in the system tray) then open options/properties. make sure everything in the list is checked off and close the properties and make sure nothing is muted. now re-open the properties and change to recording and again make sure everything is checked off then make sure the box under line in is checked.

BTW when not using the capture card i mute the line in on the playback part of the sound applet
    peace out,

  4. Well thanks for the help guys, and i did solve my problem. I still couldn't get the audio to capture, so i went out and got the Soundblaster Live sound card, and now it capps audio great! There must be something either in the Wrapper program or Virtual Dub that won't let it record the audio off of an onboard soundcard.
