I transferred a VHS tape to a DVD on a TV/DVD/VHS combo and finalized it. It won't play using Windows Media Player 11 but it will with Nero Showtime. What is wrong?

All DVDs recorded the way I described do not. Commercial DVDs and ones I made with Studio 10 play just fine.

I forgot to mention that I am also unable to import the DVDs into Studio 10. The DVDs play okay on my DVD player attached to my TV (not the one I used to record the DVDs).

Sounds like there is an issue with format your dvd recorder is using. Are you using video mode or VR mode? Most recorders give you the option. You should use video mode (normal dvd video format). Most players and pc's have trouble with VR mode.
