Looking at the Supermediastore site and saw they have a "Value" and "Premium" lines for the 8X -R Inkjet Hub Printables. I've ordered from both Rima and Supermediastore before, but now I'm wondering what's the diff between these 2 media besides the price (about 5 cents each)?
Anyone know what the story is?

Check Supermediastore details on "Fake or Real" section under about all the TY offers.
Simply put the value line did not meet TY's standards to be classified as Premium...for whatever reason.
Personally, Premium is worth the few extra pennies.
Others are welcome to different opinions as a search here should provide for hours of entertainment about this subject.

I've burned hundreds of the value DVD-Rs, they work fine every time for me. I have seen a few that were clearly defective. I got the last few hundred for 20 cents each.

Why take a chance. Granted the TY value may be better than most other brand A list but they tell you up front, these do not meet our standards, due to whatever defects, to classify as premium, A-list, #1 grade or whatever you want to call it.
Dont supersize one meal and you have the cost difference in most cases with price.
I also hate it when Supermedia offers free shipping and jacks up the up front cost to cover shipping anyway.
By NO means are they the only store that does it. That bares repeating: by NO means are they flying solo with that practice!
Example Rima: $27.00 /100 + shipping
Supermedia: $35.00 /100 + free shipping
$8.00 difference.
Even with shipping Rima is cheaper for most deliveries. So is the shipping free or accounted for in the regular price!
What if the defect that leads to being "value line" is very short term storage reliability? Ouch!
But if your use is for eventual throw-away buy as cheap as possible.
I'd stick with Premium and Rima. Of course with a "really" good sale I'd buy from SuperMedia.
But for Premium vs. Value, for long term storage and high(est) quality writes why even consider a lesser grade when it sometimes is really a few pennies a disc.
If more info was allowed as to why the value line is not Premium or what defect led to the lower grade from TY it would be nice but I understand the variables would simply not allow for such and the much details
It does really come down to your choice and experiences.
But really some searches really provide for some funny, entertaining, and good info on the subject.
Good luck,
NL
