Hi, I've been searching for a few days now and have found no answer to my questions. I'm relatively new at dvd authoring, and I have a few questions.
I have ripped a few .vob files from a couple of karaoke dvd. I want to author a new karaoke dvd using these files.
I've tried using NeroVision. It was an easy interface to understand, and I was able to author and burn a complete dvd. However, when i played it back, I cannot change audio channel. It only has one audio channel and does not have the second 'karaoke' channel.
Then I tried it using VobEdit and IfoEdit, I was able to burn a DVD, without any menus. The two audio channels works, but the chapter selection doesn't. When I click next chapter on the remote, it does not get to the next chapter.
Can anyone please tell me a fix to these programs, or suggest a good program to author Karaoke .vobs?
Thanks

(only if your Karaoke text is in MPEGs, not in subtitles)
TMPGEncDVDAuthor v.2 supports importing DVD source with original chapter points, 2 audio tracks (except DTS), generates editable menus (incl. audio selection menu) and is very easy to use for making compilations directly from any parts found in ripped DVD folders. -
The Karaoke Text is not subtites, I'm not quite sure what it is. I thinks it's a hard-sub, There is no way to turn it on or off.
I just tried usingn TMPGEncDVDAuthor 2, but I am not importing from DVDs. I already have individual vob files on my hard drive. I want to import them in and use their two audio streams. Is there a tutorial somewhere on making karaoke from .vob with tmpgenc? I've search this site and came up a little more confused than before. -
Do you have the original .ifo's of your DVDs? They are important for getting VOBs into TDA projects and they contain all chapter information. Otherwise you'll have to demultiplex VOBs to video/audio streams (e.g. in DVDLabPro by dragging to assets window - it suggests demultiplexing) and do the authoring from the beginning (TDA will be still more simple for this than DVDLab).
If you have the complete VIDEO_TS folders from your DVDs then you can just drag VIDEO_TS.IFO file (there's just one such file per a DVD) to SET SOURCE window of TDA, then follow the wizard for importing tracks and chapters and cut-edit (if needed).
