WMM, PhotoStory 3...

I did not see where it said I could export each photo as an avi or save it as an avi. I want to use the photos in Adobe Premiere. I want to prepare them before I get to Adobe Premiere. I will then import them as an avi and use Premieres tools for my video.

Slide Show Movie Maker (SSMM, free). Built just for avi output, selectable compression codec, transitions and soundtrack if needed. If I remember well, resolution is 640x480 by default.

You can save as DV AVI (in WMM) and wmv from Photo Story. If you tell the full story at once, you'll get more accurate answers.Originally Posted by rikit

I knew someone would ask that. Batch processing in Premiere has not been the most stable thing for me. It works for some and not so stable for others. I guess any software will do that.
That would be the reason. Instead of beating my head into the ground over it, sometimes working around the problem works better. I have 80 photos that I need to convert to an AVI. Then I can use realtime transistions and such. -
How about converting your jpg and tga files to tiff format before importing them in premiere as advised by the experts in the premiere forum. my experience with jpgs was not a pleasant one too until i read that post to convert them into the tiff format. from that time on batch processing in premiere was no longer a problem. hope this help.Originally Posted by rikit

joy,
Thanks that did work alot better. I still had something odd happen and it might be user error. I have 3 seperate folders containing photos that need converted to avi's. I did each one folder at a time. I did the 1st group and batch processing did fine to copy avi's. The 2nd and 3rd folder of tiffs when batch processed produced doulble the amount of duplicates avi's. I am not too sure why that was? I just deleted the extra and that was that. Thanks

Is there a way to turn off the text of the filenames? I'm trying to make a video from some time-lapse photography stills of growing plants and I can't figure out how to make it look like one of those speed-up videos without the filename text.
THanks -danno
