  1. Any idea why it would suddenly start doing this? I am running Windows XP. I don't think I changed the settings at all and I still have plenty of hard drive space. I am saving the files to an extra hard drive ("F") and it has been working fine until today. When I save to my main drive ("C") it still works but that drive is pretty full and I want to use the D drive for storage. HEEEELLLLPPP!

How big are the files ? If you upgraded from Windows 98 to XP, did you convert all your drives to NTFS, or leave some as FAT32 ? if you didn't convert them all to NTFS then you have a 4GB file size limit on those drives. I suspect C: has been reformatted or converted to NTFS, but F is still FAT32.

  3. I think you're right. All the other discs were just under 4 GB and the last 2, the ones that wouldn't burn, were exactly 4 GB. My computer (running XP) is new but the storage drive was transferred by "Geek Squad" from my old comp which ran Windows 98. I wonder if there's an easy way to continue using that drive for storage of discs over 4 GB as iso files? At least I know what the problem is now. Thanx for the help and the quick response too!

Sure! Just convert it to NTFS. XP has a tool for that purpose.
Just go to the Command Prompt and execute the command:

    Code:
    C:\> CONVERT F: /fs:ntfs
if F: is the drive with FAT32
If the data on F: is precious, I suggest a backup, but all data is (should be) preserved.

  5. Thanx, I'll give it a try. I am a bit leery because there's a lot stored on that drive and backing it up properly might take awhile. For now I think I'll just work around it somehow. Thanx again for your help!

FWIW I have used the command line as stated by mats dozens of times now with no ill-effects. Call me flippant, but I do it without backing up these days.
    If in doubt, Google it.

The only issue I find with FAT to NTSC conversions is the fragmentation afterwards. Run a defrag at your earliest convenience after converting.

Me too. Actually seems to do what it promises to.
