Editing AVIs with SimpleMovieX?

Has anyone had any success with this? The new version of SimpleMovieX claims that it can handle AVIs, but every time I drop one onto it (usually DivX or XviD codec) the video is a blank white screen and the audio is garbled. I can play these movies fine in other applications (Mplayer, VLC, etc) but SimpleMovieX doesn't seem to like them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

SimpleMovieX requires the corresponding codecs to be installed.
If the movie cannot be seen correctly in QuickTime Player, neither will it be in SimpleMovieX.

For DivX and Xvid, maybe you can try the new Perian codec (http://perian.org) or a collection of codecs (DivX 6.0, AC3, ...)
Once the codecs are installed, SimpleMovieX should work as expected.
