I've heard about places that "custom load" tape shells with VHS and S-VHS tapes in various colors (e.g. Red/Green/Blue/Yellow etc.,etc.) and in some instances cut custom-length tapes (e.g. 45 minutes in SP mode) using name-brand tapes such as Panasonic, but I have a question. Is there any place that "custom loads" MiniDV cassettes for recording?
Basically I'd like to have Panasonic AY-DVM83MQ tapes "Custom loaded" into a Yellow MiniDV tape shell for a project I'm going to be working on. If possible, I would like to find a place that would do the same custom loading into yellow shells, using Panasonic Advanced Master Quality tapes custom cut to 83 Minutes for DV SP; the reason being that I record in DVCAM mode and was disappointed when I found out that there was no 83-minute AMQ tape and the 96-minute AMQ tapes from Panasonic weren't in the mini shells I need.
If anyone knows of a place that'll do this type of custom loading and the general cost, I would appreciate any help given. Basically it's a lot easier for me to ID my tapes if they stand out. Yellow's my favorite color, it stands out easily, and I know my tapes wouldn't get (easily) lost or misplaced during the project.
Any and all help is appreciated. I know I can have VHS and S-VHS tapes dropped into a Yellow shell quite easily, but I'd like to have this done for MiniDV tapes and have no clue where to go to have my Panasonic AY-DVM83MQ tapes "moved" into a Yellow shell so that they stand out. Thank you all for your time.
