Hello,, I am so new at this that water is still driping from behind my ears..here are the questions/concerns i have
i have 8mm tapes of my son i NEED to convert to dvd, i tried dazzle cards and others and they are sitting in a draw, so came here and decided to go w/ a conveter (canopus, 110 or 300) is there any other companies that make conveters like this?
2nd, should i buy a vcr that plays back 8mm tapes and NOT use my camcorder?
and also i have vcr tapes, reading over other topics, says better to use a vcr w/ TBC, so should I get a newer one vcr player?
thanks for bearing w/ me
ron

I'm not sure about the converter, and many people get good results using the dazzle cards.
Your camcorder should work just fine to output the video.
The type quality of the VCR needed will vary according to the quality of your tapes. Unless you tapes are in bad shape, you should be able to get decent quality from most players.Google is your Friend
