.iso conversion

Hi All!!

I have a video, given to me from a friend, and I want to convert it into an editable format so that I may capture just a few minuets here and there so that I may email these clips to family.

I have Nero 7 to edit but I can't get anything but Nero Burn ROM to recognize it.

It is a 4+GB video file that burns just fine in Nero Burn ROM to a DVD+R that plays in an average DVD Player without any kind of conversion but I just can't figure out how to convert it to an editable format!

I have seen posts about other types of .iso content but nothing about a .iso DVD Video

Oh, and PLEASE speak to me as if I am Five Years Old... I'm not too good at these file conversion conversations yet! LOL!

Dvd shrink can open iso dvds, and then use dvd shrink in the reauthor mode to cut out what you want, http://www.dvdshrink.info/reauthor_basic.php . Save and you will get a vob file that you can convert to a smaller format like DivX with AutoGK.

...or mount it with Daemon Tools, and then proceed according to any DVD to AVI guide found under CONVERT left.

I took the .iso file, opened it in DVDShrink, and had it Reauthored into a standard DVD Format. So Now I'm going to take the .vob files out of VIDEO_TS and Make a Movie in Nero Vision, find the clips I want and "Delete" the rest from the "New Movie"

Does that sound right??

Now I'm taking DVD's that I have had an issue backing up and using DVD Decrypter to reauthor them into .iso files and I can then take them to DVD Shrink and Reauthor them into a standard format for family!

(My Grandmother's 85th b-day DVD is REALLY wanted by everyone but I couldn't crack it for some reason!)
