    Hi,
    Does anyone know of a simple tool to convert a .mp2 audio track to a wav file.
    ( Have need to touch up a audio track on a VCD , LOTR )

    Search Comp PM
    WinAmp will do audio export

    dbPowerAmp (link in the tools section) will do it

    SoundForge will open it into wav

    CoolEdit will open it into wav

    --- I do WinAmp output to wav (Options->Prefrences->Plug-In's[select Output] and change Nullsoft wavOut to Nullsoft Disk Writer) ... i just find it easiest --- then I do Noise Reduction / Editing in Sound Forge

    then convert back with tooLAME
