I found through searching this forum that a member mentioned that CSS is removed through shrink, but he was addressing another issue and it was just kind of mentioned. It would be nice to get varification through some other members.
I have a huge collection of DVD's that are backed up with DVD-r's. I use DVD shrink for everything unless it can't crack it, then I use DVD FAB as a Precurser, then use shrink. I'm very interested in getting the OPPO 970 DVD upconversion player. It can Upscale to 720p and 1080i through it's component inputs, but only if the CSS is removed. Otherwise, I'd have to use the DVI/HDMI input. I have a DVI input on my HDTV, but I'd like to continue using that input for my HDTV Tuner box. My question is:
Does my entire existing library of DVD-R's (Through the use of DVD shrink only) have the CSS removed?
Maybe a better way of asking. IF DVD shrink 3.2 is used, does it remove CSS?
Thanks. I hope that was clear. (kind of wordy)

That's what I thought. But I just wasn't sure. In DVD Shrink there are settings for macrovision and region codes, but I couldn't find anything under CSS. In DVD FAB there is a check box for CSS.
Thanks.

macrovision is strictly for the analog output. CSS is for the digital encryption to lock the dvd from being copied through normal means - thus the reason for rippers like dvd shrink.
