    i really need help on converting these movie files. i've been using lots of program that have been rated as good -> best, but still no good results

    here's the movie file in .avi format that i wanna convert to DVD or any other formats that would have a real high quality

    please help me, i'm sucks on this. I don't mind if the output size is huge, please guide me

    I am still waiting on megaupload to give me the movies, but if these are your usually, downloaded avi files then the short answer is - you can't do it. Most avi files are heavily compressed. This compression throws away a lot of data, and introduces artifacts that weren't in the original. You cannot get back data that you have lost, and you can't get rid of all the artifacts you have gained.

    There are filters you can try in virtualdub or avisynth to reduce some of the compression problems, but you will never get it back to DVD quality. What you may get are incremental improvements.
