I am using ConvertXtodvd. I have tried the trial and now have purchased it. However, I have a few questions and hope someone can help. I can not find anywhere to read about these on their site. First what is write speed and how do I know which one is best? Secondly when burning a onto a dvd with nero for example you can make your title page with the header of your movie but I see no where to do that with this product. Also when done burning the drive opens and disk comes out but in the log it says.....media removed, burning not to write. What does that mean and am I doing something wrong? Any help would be so appreciated.

Well I use ConvertXtodvd and like it. Fast, decent quality and it handles subs, but I've never used it to burn the files. I burn them with Nero Express. It does produce some rudimentry menus, look around, but they don't come up first you have to press the menu button on your standalone.

As far as burning speeds both my LG and Benq do well with 16X Verbatims and 8X Taiyo Yudens and that is the speed I burn at. At one site they always say to burn at half your rated speed, that may be the case if you are using the wrong or crappy media. With the correct media you can get excellent results at the rated speed. CDFreak's burner reviews are a good source for picking media that your burner likes (if it's been reviewed) that can be burned at their rated speed.

If I need a simple menu I'll pop the resultant files into NeroVision Express, with Smart encoding ticked so that it doesn't re-encode.
