I am working on a project using Vegas 6. The video is 24p. I am trying to achieve the old video camera within the film trick where I would throw in a small clip of regular old ntsc 60i video. I want this to look like 60i video within the 24p video. But when I render it out at 23.976 fps, it converts the the 60i video to 23.976.

Can anyone advise me on how to achieve this effect?

    Thanks for the help!

umm...NTSC is 29.97 interlaced frames per second. So the 60i would probably give less flicker

You'd want something like 15 interlaced frames per second.

Yeah, that's what I meant, I'm undoubtedly going to get my terminology mixed up here.

Wouldn't I need to show the short clip at a faster frame rate than the 24p parts? It would need to be smoother than the 24p stuff. 15fps would create a less fluid appearence, would it not?

If I wasn't clear, the effect I'm trying to achieve is a small video clip within "film."

    Thanks again,

Sorry if I'm appearing completely clueless. I'm trying to muddle my way through this particular project.
