I'm working on a system (not mine) that had a Duron 1.3 and Windows XP Home. I upgraded the motherboard and processor to a P4 524 (3.06/533 with HT). Although it's asking me to activate within 3 days, the hardware upgrade didn't crap out the OS install completely, apps seem to be running alright. The processor shows up as 2 processors in Device Manager (which I know is normal for HT processors), but I only see one processor when I open Task Manager. I have heard that there is (but have not been able to locate) a way to enable Hyperthreading in the OS (or make the OS use it) without having to reinstall the OS itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Nevermind. I'm just damn impatient. It seems a reboot after all the other hardware was detected was all it took to pick it up.
Silly me. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
