    Hi folks

I'm not computer literate and just want a straight-forward way of getting those damned avi files into mpeg, and also dvd if desired.

    Cheers from a frustrated newbie...

AVI to DVD? Use Divx2DVD (or if you want a bit more capability, pay for its payware cousin, ConvertX2DVD)

Downloaded the first one you mentioned, but when it comes to 'burning' option, the 'burn' action button isn't working...

If it did, is this all that's needed for the 'converted' file to transfer to a dvd?

CORRECTION: It generated a folder with stuff, so use ImgTools to burn the VIDEO_TS folder and you'll have a working DVD.
