I usually convert classics on divx extension into vcd.
I use TMPGenc for this. Normally it is all very easy.
But with some old movies I have problems converting the audio to a VCD standard.
Who handled this issue before??

Have you tried changing the setting for audio in the TMPGEnc template to Mono not stereo?

Use VirtualDub, extract the audio from the movie as a WAV file and then encode with TMPG, use the AVI file for the video stream, but use the WAV file for the audio stream, this should work. -
Thnx, but I tried that...it will give me only 860 kb of wav sound and it tells me it is ready within 10 seconds...
