  1. I am not sure which template. I want to make a vcd that can play full screen on my DVD standalone player.

    You have to give us more information if you have any problem.

    Anyway, If you have the knowledege to burn your own VCD, you know that sort of problem (which is't any ... Learn trough the nice, and for the moment, free guides at this site.

  3. okay one of the problems is the my mpeg is like 300x200 and if i make a vcd out of it. Is that the size its gonna show on my T.V ?

    If you use the standard resolutions (PAL 352x288 or NTSC 352x240) from one of the VCD templates then I think TMPGEnc will just convert the resolution for you while it's encoding.

    Up-converting resolution is never very nice though and can take a lot of time.

    VirtualDub can also do conversion resolution on AVIs. If it does a better job (opinions?) then you might want to do it with VirtualDub and then encode it.

    Many DVD players just fill the TV with whatever they're playing as well so you might not have to convert it.

    The bottom line is to experiment. A CD-RW is a good investment (believe me!) - then you can burn it once you've got what you want.
