    Am looking for a DVD player that will play Xvid+DivX+AVI, SVCD, VCD and normal dvds with srt and sub files??

    I want to buy it from the UK cos its where i live.

    I sreach froogle but it only showed me
    Macpower, Mvisto DivX Player, MV-U2UGS

    Can someone provide me which DVD players can handle the above formats. just now am viewing it on the PS2 (am not giving details how to) but PS3 comes out within 6 months (Europe) and it wouldn't support this kind.

    Asda do a 30 quid cheapo that nearly suits all your requirements, the only thing it won't play is SUB files.

    went up to my local Asda today theres none there any other ideas where i can buy it from or search that tool that find the correct one i want?

    Can't find any more on dabs or amazon and it appears that svp are currently out of stock of the one I suggested (which is a shame as it appears to do everything you want for fifty quid). Maybe try a search on eBay for the same model?

    well yeah i might wait till it gets back again but Yamada DVX-6700 looks good too.... its very hard to decide.....most of them don't care abt what subtitles files it plays thats a shame really cos i don't want to buy the wrong one. i have so many to look at..... well 5. If anyone wants to add more please do.

    I saw one like that in my local asda might go and give it another look it might be that one or another one

    does that also play srt + sub?

    i think this one is the best

    DivX PIONEER DV-490V-K

    I looked on the DivX site comparer id saids it has a HMDI ouput does urs have it?

    Mine does not have HDMI, TBH I don't need it anyway. As for subtitles, it plays .srt, i'm not sure about .sub files as i've never tried.
