  1. Hey folks,

Can anyone tell me how to convert a .c2d file produced by VideoPack 5 into something that I can move to a Mac and burn with Toast?

I've been using Fireburner to binchunk the .bin files produced by TSCV and this has been working fine. However, I don't know what to do with the .c2d file.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    CDmage converts .c2d to .bin/cue.

  3. Hi Truman,

I downloaded CDmage but when I try to open my .c2d image file I got an error message about incorrect format. The file is the direct output of the Videopack 5 "Create Disc Image" function. Any ideas what might be wrong?

    Thanks,
    Chris

..hmm, you are right, I just tested it. CDmage 1-02-1Beta5 does not support Videopack 5 and Winoncd 5 .c2d images.
Since it supports WinonCD 3.8 .c2d images, this method might work (I did not test it) :Open the Videopack image in WinonCD 3.8 and create a new .c2d image. Open that one in CDmage.
    Hope it helps.

  5. I thought WinonCD was a German language product. Is there an English version available? I checked Roxio's US site but there's no sign of it there.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Well, until now I have only seen german versions. Hmm, maybe you take this as an opportunity to brush up your knowledge of German a bit
However, I dont know any other way to burn a .c2d image.

  7. after you create your dvd file".c2d", load it up in the emulator. and then you can acces the file structure and send them to your burner (this works fine on nero)

    good luck!

  8. Aaah, of course. Then I can simply copy the directory files to another folder on my HD. But then what would I use to get the files in a format that I can burn with Toast on my Mac? I've been creating .bin/.cue files with TSCV and then binchunking them with Fireburner. I can take those resulting files and simply burn them as a CD-XA in Toast and it works perfectly. I'm not sure what to do with the files once I extract them from the image file under the emulator, though.

    Thanks,
    Chris

  9. OK, I got it. rick-kim had the right idea. After creating the .c2d image, load it up in the emulator. Then run Fireburner (I used 1.06). Select the CD Explorer option. Control-click and select TOC Grabber and grab the TOC from the drive that the emulator is on (mine was L). Then shift select all of the tracks that appear, then control-click and select Extract. This is the same as binchunking a .bin file. The result is a number of TO Mode2 tracks that can be burned using the CD-ROM XA option in Toast. I just did all of that and the resulting VCD played in my Pioneer 434.

However, I noticed one thing. When the main movie is playing if I select a number button on the remote, the movie won't jump to that chapter. The next and previous buttons do work though. It's wierd because the number buttons do work from the main menu screen.

    Regards,
    Chris
