    Hello all,

Here's the situation. I have a 320x240 movie which I would like to insert in a 640x480 movie. I want t preserve the 320x240 size and fill the rest of the screen with either a static color (say black) or image (say a jpeg).

Is there a way to do that with ffmpegX, and if not, can you suggest an app that might do that.

It seems so simple but I guess that's "magic thinking".

    Many thanks!

  2. I guess you can do it with Quicktime Player (apple-J, add mask, export).

Hello major and thanks for the one liner.

I do admit I was initially puzzled and didn't quite know what to make of it. Did a quick search with the words "apple-J, add mask, export" and eventually found what I was looking for.

Yes, Quicktime Pro does it all, masks & skins. The mask can be any color, image or enven video clip.

Here are two links where you can find out more if you're interested.

    Enjoy!

p.s. Still don't know what "apple-j" refers to...?
