Can anyone recomend any freeware/ shareware that will rip a DVD to a single VOB file for the Mac (OS X)?

  2. Generally you cannt. VOB files are limited to 1 gig in length. A movie will usually require 2-4 VOB files to contain the complete length.
However TDA will rejoin these files into a single mpg file.

With the MS OS, you could use a program like DVD Decrypter and make one large VOB out of the entire DVD. Or if you wanted one large MPEG instead, VOB2MPEG.

But it sounds like you want to do this with the Mac OS. In that case, this question would be better in our Mac Forum. Moving you.

  5. For non-commercial discs you can use 0SEx, for commercial discs try MTR in Title - Chapter Extraction mode (Merge Chapters checked).

  9. You have to make a "gift". I think you can find out the necessary details here.

I'm sorry, I haven't used 2.6 for a while so I'm not familiar with the feature set but I thought it was similar.
