    Hello.
What program can I use to synch a subtitle to a ripped DVD?
With the VTS.IFO and VOB files on the HD it seems like I can open one VOB at a time in Subtitle Workshop and that's no help. I need a program that can open the IFO and using it open the wole movie for synching of subtitles.

If I make an Image I can always use DVDSubber. But if the sound is in LPCM everything goes to H*ll.

Then I have to convert the audio to AC3 and make a new image.

If anyone here knows how to play DVDs with LPCM in DVDSubber II, please let me know how.

Also, when using DVDLab-Pro, I get a problem with LPCM. Just like in DVDSubber the video just stutters together with the audio. Any ideas why that is?
    Many thanks.

Have you tried Media Player Classic?

Synching subtitles to DVD in Media Player Classic?
    No I haven't tried that.
I'm talking about a program where I can make many different kinds of edits to my subs.
Timings that need to be fixed all the way through the subtitles can be efficient sometimes, but at other times you need to ramp the subs because the source you got it from was different ( NTSC vs PAL for example). I don't think one can do much like that in MPC.

As I said, I have tried, and failed, several times to play DVDs with LPCM in DVD Subber.
I know I'm supposed to be able to do it but the video and sound just stutters.

Anyone out there that has a solution to this LPCM problem?

And can someone tell me how to compile a DVD with LPCM and subtitles in DVD-Lab Pro that actually works?
I could't play the DVD that came out the other end.

    Thanks.

View-->Subresync. Don't think it can convert framerates, but you could just do that with Subtitle Workshop, then check the sync in MPC.

Did you try with SubtitleCreator. It has many synchronisation functions and you can preview your subs overlaid on your DVD in real time. However it accepts only srt or sub(text) files.

    Thanks for the ideas.
    I will try subresync.

I do want to use the positioning in SSA/ASS files, so a method of doing that is needed.
    I haven't found one yet.
I know I can make BMP based subtitles but I don't know how to use them with Authoring programs.
I have created a thread with questions about that.
