    Hey guys,
I am having problem with the videos I am downloaing by Ares. The videos are playing frame by frame? Not all videos but some. I don't know the correct word for this. They look fragmented. It's like stammering of the video but not the audio. The audio is synchronized. The video plays like animated papers with pictures on it. Why is it happening? The only think I could think of was fragmentation of the video file; because I got low space on my HDD. Possible? I tried defragmenting my HDD, didnt work.
And by the way, I tried re-downloading the videos I had problem with, same thing happens. I tired burning the video on a CD, didnt work. Copied on a flash disk, didnt work.
Another thing is, a video file which I used to play normally started to play "stammering" after I had experienced this problem with other videos.
I searched ares and peerevolution forums.
    I've got the codecs.
I tried the Peck's Power Join software.
I tried BSPlayer, RealPlayer, WMP, Winamp, and QuicktimePlayer ( I cant believe I tried QTP ) and finally VLC Player and it is working fine. But I wanna use BSPlayer because I like the 10sec bckwrd/frwd seeking button on it. So I still got the problem, VLC's seeking is pretty terrible. So guys...please...help me!
    Thanks in advance

If VLC plays it fine, but no other players, there's a 99.9% probability for codec/DirectShow filter problem, as the major difference between VLC and most other players is that VLC has its own codecs, and doesn't use DirectShow.
