    Can you record video footage in slow motion or in order to do slow motion, you have to wait until the footage gets on the computer for editing. If the former, what are the notable cameras. If the latter, how is it done in Vegas.

    Both. I have no experience with the former - the latter was discussed in a recent thread, regarding shooting a drop of water. There's some kind of software that can fill in/tween in extra frames to get a smooth slow motion effect.
