ffmpegX freezes when I select which file to convert.

I am tring to convert a real video to any other type of video file. I have downloaded all 3 binaries and the one needed for real videos. But ffmpegX freezes NOT when it is actually converting the file but when i simply select the FILE to convert. I've had this problem except for one time and that was because I didn't have one of the three essencial binaries, then I downloaded and it worked then I realized I needed to get the real video binary. So I'm hoping that this is a common problem!!! ANY advise would be greatly appreciated!

Are you on Intel or PPC, and which version of Real libs did you install? Eventually also send me a test clip to major4@mac.com (use yousendit.com if big file).
