Does anyone have a clue whether or not it is possible to get the XP drivers of Sigma Designs Realmagic xcard to work on Windows Vista (RC2)?

It seems that the drivers install pretty well on my Windows Vista but the software players from Sigma and TVedia crashes. No big surprise, I guess.

Can anyone confirm that the drivers do not (and will not ever) work so that I can have some peace of mind? Or even better, have a solution to this?!

The solution, obviously, is for Sigma to release Vista drivers and/or software updates. Since Vista isn't even available to public yet, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well, I get the impression from Sigma Designs that the product is discontinued and that no further support is provided. No distribution and no drivers.

Ok. Seems like I need to look for another hardware decoder... A pity, because the quality and stability of the card has been top notch.

Before the Xcard there was the Hollywood + card. They never as I understand it released WinXP drivers for it. Or maybe they did but it never worked correctly and I seem to recall they were like very "blah" about making it work.

So Win Vista drivers for the Xcard?

    I highly doubt it.
