jpeg to mpeg conversion?

I just received some very old pics in jpeg form. I would like to burn them and watch them on my dvd player (it will play VCD). Should I convert these to mpeg's...if so how, or is there another way to do this?

Try software like:

Adobe Premiere (expensive, usually for semi-professional)
Ulead Video Studio 5 (user-friendly)
Macromedia Flash
MGI VideoWave
...

Several programs can create VCD slideshows from your JPEG images, including Nero, Ulead DVD PictureShow, WinOnCD, Xatshow, and others. Check out the How To Author guides to the left.
