I'm running ffmpegX on an Intel Core 2 Duo, and I noticed in Activity Monitor that ffmpeg2 is reported as PowerPC. This happens when converting an AVI to DVD using the ffmpeg engine and decoding with Quicktime (I haven't tried any other option yet).

Is this intended, or is my installation bad?

  2. It is intended, ffmpeg2 is an old CVS version of ffmpeg not available in Intel form used in a few rare and specific cases, usually limited to audio conversion, the Intel version being used for video.
