Hi I did a clean install Of WinXP and installing and testing everything I reinstalled but Im getting some blips along the way. The lastest was Pinnacle Studio not burning to DVD-RW but I think I have that solved so tried again but asked for blank dvd when it normally says disc not empty do want to erase the contents which I would reply yes but it does not do that any more so I used nero to erased disc but when I go to burn disc again it asks for blank disc?
Finally The question do I have to format this disc to reuse it [by the way Im talking DVD-RW] and how do you do it plus in nero it also asks for blank disc when I put in the dvd which was erased

I think Pinnacle is treating the disc as DVD-R not as DVD-RW so will unistall a particular software to see if this will solve my problem

Sounds like one or more of your programs are interfering with one another. I would uninstall Nero and Pinnacle Studio (and any other burning programs you have installed). Then reinstall and test them one at a time. That way you will be able to tell which program is hosing everything up.

EDIT: I vaguely remember reading about this issue before and it was related to Pinnacle Studio.

you have alcohol120% ?or other image burner softwares?
if yes than uninstall them and try

image burner softwares interfere in our drive,so when you don't need them just uninstall them.
