  1. I have many files on .avi . I wish to convert them to dvd. I used to use vsoconvertxtodvd. The speed was okay, but the quality was not too great. I tried DVD SANTA as well. Same problem. Please tell me a software which converts .avi to dvd substantially quickly like if the video is of 1hr30mins it may take double of that. But the picture quality should be GREAT!!! Like the best you could possibly get. And it should be kinda easy to operate as well .

    Please help

    Thank You

Try a standalone mpeg encoder like Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder, Tmpgenc Plus or Quenc. But remember, garbage in garbage out...

The software you want does not exist. You have a simple choice. If you want it nice and simple and fast, use ConvertXtoDVD. Make sure you have it set to the highest quality.

If you want it to look the best it can, then you have to use several tools, and a process that takes probably three to fours times as long and requires a lot of manual intervention.

You also have to accept that most of your avi files are in fact average to low in quality, and while they may look OK on your screen, once they have been resized and re-encoded, and then played back on your TV, they will not look that great, certainly not DVD quality.
